After receiving his medical education and postgraduate training in Psychiatry in Singapore, Dr Ng pursued his interest at Organic Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital, UK. Thereafter, he was Head of Department and senior Consultant Psychiatrist with the Department of Psychiatry and Sleep Disorders Unit, Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He has won accolades for his teaching and mentoring of medical students and junior staff (Duke-NUS Faculty Appreciation Award, SingHealth Best Mentor Award).
