Merissa is a registered educational psychologist with SPS and New Zealand Psychology Board and has close to 14 years of experience working in the disability sector with individuals across a range of ages (from 2 to 61). She has a passion for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Learning Disabilities…etc.) and have worked in various settings (e.g., therapy centres, schools, vocational sites), across different roles (e.g., therapist, shadow teacher, job coach, psychologist, caregiver/professional trainer). She uses various therapy modalities (e.g., sensory integration therapy, social skills training, play therapy, universal design for learning, mediated learning experience, behavioural therapy) to ensure effective therapy for her clients.
