Julia is proficient in forensic psych assessment and report-writing for Court purposes. A scientist-practitioner, her work experiences include working in universities, hospitals, prisons and correction services, gambling treatment facilities and private clinics.

She is a pioneer with a doctorate in Forensic Psychology in the private sector of Singapore. She has written more than 600 forensic reports for Court purposes in Singapore and the ASEAN region since 2009 and has testified in Singapore Courts. Her reports are considered outstanding by lawyers, doctors and court officials who have had the opportunity to review them.

Her research and lecturing experiences span across three countries (Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore) over three decades which include conducting and supervising research in the areas of medical psychology, addictions / problem gambling and impulse-control disorders; training medical, nursing, psychology and social work students, as well as mental health professionals and addiction counsellors. She is a university lecturer in Impulse-Control Disorders and Addiction Counselling in Singapore.

Julia is a registered psychologist in Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore. She provides forensic psych assessment in criminal, civil and family matter. Psychometric testing is utilized in case formulation to facilitate and enhance understanding of the interplay of various factors in an individual’s life and the legal matter in question.

She was a Council Member of the:
